Louis Vuitton-Resort 2013

The inspiration of the great brands for 2013 continues with the collection of the Louis Vuitton Resort. The high end label inspired by tropical landscapes and destinations  presents a variety of surprising pieces with a  a special retro twist.
"The central idea of the collection was a bit antithetical type 'make great fervor but women remain well dressed,'" says Julie de Libran, head designers of the brand, referring to the muses Catherine Deneuve in Indochine and La Sirène du Mississippi .

The result is a sweet, feminine collection of full sets that reflect the elegance in all its glory, without any exaggeration. The interest of this collection is large and mostly located in the luxurious texture of fabrics, proportions and colors. Certainly at first glance the proportions and asymmetries of the songs are stealing the show, escaping from the ordinary, the collection plays with the length, returning baggy pants, keeping sharp color contrasts or the total look with incomparably stylish white suits. every time a piece is combined with another the results are exiting.

Apart from the divided skirts, great glasses, platforms, bags and accessories minimal, stand out as embroidered collars and hats in the elongated front to create a fedora-jockey style, which probably will become a trend.

Opulent minimalismm

Michael Kors Resort 2013

The title of the new resort collection of Michael Kors for 2013 is ''opulent minimalism'',whereas the designs are inspired by one of his recent trips to Turkey.

It is one of the few times where we see a resort collection with so much classic, chic and luxury feelings, since  the resort collections are usually more casual.  Kors decided to give a luxury character to his pieces and stresses out his clothes with statement jewellery and gold details.

We like the fact that the new collection includes jackets, coats and pants and not only swimwear

The '60s flair has a modern twist that is incorporated in every style. The evening gowns are combined with statement jewellery, belts, bags and accessories made out of python skin and semiprecious stones and chains. Black, white, blue, red, turquoise and gold tantalise both the minimalism and the luxurious style.
